12 checks
before the stamp.
We don't press ply — we vet it. Every lot from our private vendor is stopped at the Sanvi yard and run through twelve independent checks. Fail one, the whole lot goes back. It is the only reason a Sanvi sheet feels the same in Patna as it does in Purnia.

Vendor Lot Intake
Every incoming lot from our long-standing private vendor is quarantined at the Sanvi yard before anything else happens.
Batch Sampling
Random sheets pulled per lot and sent to the QC bench — no lot is dispatched on paperwork alone.
Visual Grade
Face and back inspected under raking light for open joints, patches, dead knots or press marks.
Moisture Test
Electronic moisture meter on every sample — target 8–12% for warp-free performance in Bihar's climate.
Thickness Calibration
Digital caliper checks at 8 points per sheet to confirm the marked thickness is honoured.
Density Check
Panel weight benchmarked against spec — under-weight means under-veneered. It goes back.
Core Slice
Cut open a sample from every batch. Count layers, confirm 100% core veneer, no gaps, no overlap.
Boiling Water Test
Marine samples boiled 72 hours. Any delamination and the whole lot is rejected — never sold down-grade.
Screw Withdrawal
Screw pull-out load tested per IS spec — the number that matters when a carpenter puts a hinge on your door.
Termite & Borer
Treatment audit and residue test on every batch. Ply that leaves Sanvi is protected for the long run.
Sanvi Stamp
Only sheets that pass all ten upstream checks are stamped, batch-coded and traced to a QC signature.
Distributor Dispatch
Loaded batch-by-batch to authorised distributors — every sheet trackable back to the QC lot number.
The Sanvi guarantee
Boiled for 72 hours.
Or the lot goes back.
Sample sheets from every lot our vendor delivers are submerged in boiling water for three days. Any visible delamination and the entire batch is returned — never quietly re-graded and sold. That is the reason our marine grade carries a 25-year warranty.
